LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. ā€“ For many Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, itā€™s the first ride of the day. Itā€™s also one of the first sightings for guests upon entering park property.

Buses are just one of the options to get around Disney World. This year, Disney is looking to get guests to their destinations faster and in style as the resort adds more than 90 new vehicles to its bus fleet.

ā€œOne of the things that sets a Disney vacation apart is our massive complimentary transportation network, which is why itā€™s so important for us to continue investing in that and improving the overall experience that our guests have when they visit us,ā€ said Ketan Sardeshmukh, director of Transportation Operations at Walt Disney World.

More than 30 of the new buses are already on the roads with the remainder rolling out throughout the rest of the year. Some of these buses will be sporting new and updated wraps featuring fan-favorite characters such as Chip ā€˜nā€™ Dale, Orange Bird and Figment, as well as characters from ā€œ101 Dalmatians,ā€ ā€œRatatouilleā€ and ā€œZootopia.ā€

ā€œWhether they take one of the 90 new buses or another mode of transportation, our goal is for our guests to be able to relax, spend quality time with their friends and family, and know weā€™ve got them covered,ā€ Sardeshmukh said.

Walt Disney World buses make 12,000 trips every day with nearly 100 routes on Disney World property. In 2023, the buses had an average monthly ridership of over 4.6 million.
