EDGEWATER, Fla. – A man faces charges after police said he was caught on surveillance video walking around a resident’s home, according to a news release.

Edgewater police said that early Saturday morning a resident on Sanchez Avenue called officers after she saw an unknown man walking around her home on surveillance camera.

According to the release, the resident was not home at the time, but was able to sent officers the video of the man.

Police said that a short time later they were able to find the suspect – later identified as Scott Winkler – hiding behind a fence.

According to the release, Winkler was arrested and faces charges for loitering and prowling.

Police said the investigation is on-going and additional charges are likely.
