PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Del Taco started in California during the 1960s and has grown to over 500 locations in the U.S. However, it does not have a presence in Volusia County.

Franchisees Ajay and Aman Singh plan to change that, by opening the first Del Taco in Port Orange. It will be at 3815 S. Nova Road.

Besides tacos, Del Taco serves burritos, burgers, fries, salads and shakes.

The Port Orange location will be unique to others, according to a spokesperson. It will have a mobile pickup locker system, two drive-thru lanes and an open kitchen.

Meanwhile, there are currently four locations in Central Florida, Kissimmee, Melbourne and two in Orlando. According to the website, a third Orlando restaurant is set to open next month at 3209 E. Colonial Dr.
