Wife still faces charges

ORLANDO, Fla. – Charges were dropped last week against an Orlando City soccer player who was arrested last month after a conflict at a local nightclub, according to the police department.

However, charges against the player’s wife remain.

In an arrest affidavit, police said they were flagged down in front of the Tier Night Club around 1 a.m. on April 30 due to a fight.

After police arrived, bouncers removed the soccer player — identified as Mason Stajduhar, 26 — from the nightclub, prompting Stajduhar to pull away from security and try to get back into the club, the affidavit shows.

According to the club’s manager, both Stajduhar and his wife — Tatiana Stajduhar — had been “disrespectful” and caused a “scene” at the club’s entrance, police explained.

The manager further stated that the pair appeared drunk and were yelling at the club door girls, so the manager and other security guards had them removed, the affidavit says.

However, police said Mason Stajduhar claimed that security hit his wife, which is why he tried to push his way back inside.

“Mason had admitted his fault in resisting the security officers and only wanted to make sure his wife was OK,” the affidavit reads.

Regardless, Mason Stajduhar was placed under arrest.

Charges against Stajduhar were dropped on May 8 after the city prosecutor declined to pursue charges.

However, Tatiana Stajduhar was also arrested that night after investigators say she screamed obscenities at police, eventually pushing one officer out of the way to get to her husband.

At the time, she kept trying to pull her arms away and yelled at an officer, calling the officer a “Stupid (expletive),” according to the affidavit.

Tatiana Stajduhar faces charges of violating a city ordinance regarding disorderly conduct.

“Tatiana and Mason had disrupted the normal flow of business of Tier Nightclub by their actions with the nightclub staff and officers, which ensued into a fight as they were both combative with the nightclub staff,” the affidavit adds.
